The private equity platform owned by Norfund and Banco BAI strengthens its leadership in Angola
Luanda, 21 October 2026 – Angola Capital Partners (ACP), the private equity investment platform jointly owned by Norfund and Banco BAI, announces the appointment of Adolosi Gomes as Chief Executive Officer. Tiago Laranjeiro, who has led ACP until now, remains with the firm as Director, ensuring continuity and supporting the transition.
The appointment reflects the intention, since ACP’s inception, to promote knowledge transfer to an Angolan leadership and preserve institutional capacity throughout succession.
Established in 2008 to support the development of Angola’s private sector, ACP has mobilised more than US$85 million, which was invested in Angolan companies across a range of sectors, including Fazenda Girassol, Orey Africa and Angola Environmental Services.
Adolosi Gomes has been with ACP for more than eight years, during which he was closely involved in managing the FIPA and FIPA II funds across the firm’s Luxembourg and Angolan structures. Before joining ACP, he worked at Deloitte.
Adolosi Gomes, Chief Executive Officer of ACP: “It is an honour to lead ACP into its next chapter. With the continued support of our shareholders, our priority is to keep backing Angolan companies with long-term capital, and to bring more investors, both Angolan and international, to the country’s private sector. I would like to thank Tiago Laranjeiro for his leadership and for his continued support.”
Paal Raaum, Chairman of the Board of ACP: “This appointment reflects a carefully planned succession and the Board’s confidence in ACP’s team. We thank Tiago Laranjeiro for his leadership and look forward to working with Adolosi Gomes as ACP enters its next phase.”
